Description

Summary - Job Responsibilities – Activities:

Functions:

  • Administer all corporate employee benefit plans including health and welfare programs, dental plan, STD, LTD, AD&D, FMLA, leave programs, tuition reimbursement, and 401(k) plan.
  • Help Manage the annual merit cycle.
  • Help gather information needed for audits.
  • Process payroll on a weekly basis
  • Communicate with benefit vendors, as necessary.
  • Update employee changes to all necessary parties i.e., Payroll, vendors, HR staff, etc.
  • Conduct periodic audits of benefit plans to ensure accuracy of all data.
  • Analyzes data and makes recommendations to the management team for corrective action and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure accuracy of all benefits billings and provide to accounts payable in a timely fashion.
  • Resolve employee questions and concerns.
  • Design, plan and conduct new employee orientation including benefits communication and enrollment.
  • Administer corporate travel program. Ensure employee profiles are accurately set up.
  • Continuously look for travel savings i.e. flights, car rentals, hotel reservations, etc.
  • As a member of the HR Team, other duties as assigned.

Education - Experience:

  • BA in related field (relevant experience may be substituted)
  • 2-4 years related experience in an organizational HR group

Required Skills, Competencies, Authorities and Training Needs:

  • Must be an accurate, detail-oriented multi-tasker that has the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint )
  • Previous HRIS experience (SAP, Oracle, ADP, Paychex), Oracle experience preferred.
  • Understanding of relevant benefits legislation such as ADA, FMLA, ERISA and Section 125.
  • Able to handle and maintain confidential information
  • Knowledge of current State and Federal Wage, Employment Laws and HR policies and procedures.
  • Excellent organizational skills
